The aim of the Club is to promote photographic interest within our area and provide a place for anyone with an interest in photography to meet and exchange ideas and share experiences.
We have organised various lectures, demonstrations and competitions. It is our practice to welcome everyone with an interest in photography regardless of experience.
We also support local community events where we stage a display, deal with enquiries from the public and take photographs as a record of the activities. Most notable is the Arnold Carnival with a whole weekend of entertainment, competitions, crafts and local society stalls
Library Exhibition 2005 was the picture featured on the 2006 programme booklet. In this year the booklet had 50% more content with a centre gallery double page. This centre collection of images has continued and increased since then.
A new full HD (1920 x 1080) digital projector was purchased in 2012 to significantly improve the quality of our projected images. This allows for higher resolutions to be used in our competitions.
A new laptop was purchased in the last quarter of 2014. This better matches our new projector and gives us HDMI full HD connectivity.
The Club continues to attract new members each year.
